Vetrère | Apulia
The Vetrere winery in Puglia is run by sisters Annamaria and Francesca Bruni, and the wines produced are correspondingly feminine. They are area and grape variety typical crescents, which have a good shelf life. The wines are a symbiosis of tradition and progress, they are characterized by a sweet fruit, underlined by restrained and mild tannins.
First, the two sisters earned high recognition for their olive oil, then the red wines such as Primitivo Livruni or Negroamaro Tempio di Giano were on the rise. For some years now, Annamaria and Francesca Bruni have been making a name for themselves above all for their great white wines: The Fiano Minutolo grape variety is native to Puglia and produces wines rich in extract and aroma, with a distinctive bouquet and flavor. The two sisters' latest project is Minú - a Fiano fermented on the skins and Puglia's first Orange Wine. - Gerardo [TS12/22]

Vetrère | Apulia | Buy at Gerardo
Annamaria and Francesca Bruni took over and run the family winery Vetrere after their university degrees. The old cellars, located in tufa vaults, were modernized in 2002. But what is far more important, the all-round trend towards intensification of agriculture has not been followed. The two sisters have already received several awards from the Winegrowers Association for their innovative and sustainable approach. Not only organizations, but especially consumers honor the extremely prudent and progressive approach. In the vineyards they have been working extensively and without sprays for years, for the sake of their own health and also that of the wine drinkers. Despite the modern winery, the use of technology is avoided as much as possible, and the sulfur content of the wines is also very low. - Gerardo [TS12/22]
"The farm Vetrere is located in an area of Puglia that is one of the most fertile areas of the Mediterranean and has always produced agricultural products of high quality. Owners and managers of the farm are the two sisters Annamaria and Francesca Bruni, heirs of a long family viticultural tradition. Since they graduated from high school, they have dedicated themselves to the family business with great competence and professionalism. Practically always, the family has dedicated itself with skill and ability to the care of its olive groves and vineyards and the production of highly appreciated wines. In total, the vineyards cover an area of 37 hectares on a plain between the municipalities of Grotaglie and Montemesola. The sun, fertile soils and a mild climate give rise to grapes of the highest quality. They are processed in the cellar under the direction of oenologists Giuseppe Caragnulo and Vincenzo Laera to produce typical regional wines of absolute prestige." - Il mio vino wine magazine
"Until a few years ago, the farm of the Bruni sisters was known mainly for its delicious olive oil. Today, the Vetrere estate in the Apulian panorama is one of the suppliers of fine wines, its labels can be relied upon, its quality is beyond question." - Gambero Rosso
