Chelucci Penne Rigate0 are an indispensable classic of Italian cuisine that captivates with its intelligent design. Their characteristic diagonally cut ends resemble antique quills, while the fine longitudinal ridges on the exterior fulfill a crucial culinary function: they act as channels that literally hold and bind sauces. Whether it is a fiery Sugo all’arrabbiata getting caught in the ridges or a rich cream sauce flowing into the hollow center, this pasta guarantees a harmonious balance between the noodle and its accompaniment with every bite. Thanks to their robust structure, they are also excellently suited for 'pasta al forno', as they maintain their shape even in the oven under a crispy cheese crust.

At the Chelucci manufactory, this pasta is created from the union of premium Tuscan durum wheat semolina and pure, clear spring water. Production follows old traditions using bronze molds, giving the surface a rough, porous texture that stands out clearly from the smoothness of industrial mass products. Special attention is paid to slow and gentle drying at low temperatures.
