This outstanding Amarone della Valpolicella is dedicated to father Pietro dal Cero and bears his name as a symbol of the deep connection with the roots, culture and history of the Valpolicella region. In order to realize this dream, the siblings Igino, Gian Franco and Anna Maria dal Cero have recently acquired new vineyards in Valpolicella - with the aim of creating an Amarone with a unique character.
In the glass, the Amarone della Valpolicella Pietro dal Cero presents itself in a dense, dark ruby red, which already gives a visual hint of its depth and concentration. The bouquet seduces with intense aromas of ripe morello cherries, which combine harmoniously with chocolaty notes and lend the wine a seductive, spicy sweetness. On the palate, a rich combination of aromas unfolds with balsamic hints, accompanied by subtle nuances of star anise and fresh mint.
The development on the palate leads to a complex finish in which elegant tertiary aromas of sweet tobacco, roasted coffee and spices dominate. This Amarone is far more than just a wine - it is an emotional legacy, an expression of passion, craftsmanship and family devotion. They do this with a wine that is emblematic of Veronese wine production in the world, Amarone. The ruby red color is captivating for its timbre and intensity. The fruit is lush with a pleasant black cherry mingling with notes of chocolate and sweet spices. The finesse highlights the floral component and violet rose. The balsamic notes become more prominent, with hints of star anise and wild mint. The tertiary elements are subtle, revealing pleasant notes of Arabica and light tobacco. - Gerardo [TS10/12]
