´Vignamurata´ Sangiovese Sovana Superiore DOC 2019, Cantina di Pitigliano, Tuscany

This single-varietal Sangiovese has a medium-bodied, deep ruby color. The bouquet is complex, fragrant and spicy, reminiscent of cherries and blackberries. The palate is concentrated, with an elegant tannic structure and excellent persistence. - Gerardo

´Vignamurata´ Sangiovese Sovana Superiore DOC 2019

The Sangiovese grapes for Vignamurata come from tufa soils in the Pitigliano, Manciano and Sorano area. The name Sovana denotes wines from the province of Grosseto which since 1999 have DOC status (controlled denomination of origin). Fermentation and aging take place in French oak barrels for six months. This medium-bodied Sangiovese is a great accompaniment to main dishes such as roasts and grilled meats. - Gerardo
