Il Poggiale - an excellent Chianti Classico from a single vineyard: aged in French oak barrels and then refined in the bottle for another six months, Il Poggiale presents itself in a dark ruby red with violet reflections. The bouquet is complex and reminiscent of violets, ripe cherries and some flint. On the palate of excellent structure and soft tannins, with recurring fruity notes. - Gerardo [TS06/20]
