Fumin is an ancient red grape variety native to the Valle d'Aosta. A late ripening grape variety which, thanks to the traditional vinification and the subsequent aging in different barrels, allows a great wine of strong character: purple red with violet reflections in color, clear and dense. In the aroma spicy and floral, of vanilla and white pepper and cloves and red fruits. Intense and persistent on the palate, yet smooth and fresh with elegant tannins. Harmonic, balanced as well as persistent in the finish. - Gerardo

© www.lacrotta.it The Esprit Follet Nus is prepared 100% from the autochthonous grape variety Fumin. This grows in vineyards in the communes of Nus, Fènis, Chambave, Verrayes, Saint-Denis and Chatillon with southeast or southwest exposure at 450 to 550 meters above sea level. The loose, sandy moraine soils on steep slopes are perfect for viticulture, where the Fumin grape variety is cultivated in classic Guyot and Cordon style. The harvest takes place only in the last ten days of October. After vinification, the wine is aged for 12 months in different wooden barrels and then refines for 5 more months in bottle. - Gerardo
