Disueri · Nero d'Avola DOC 2024

  Cusumano's Disueri Nero d'Avola is a clear homage to the Sicilian Nero d'Avola grape variety - vinified from 100% of this variety and grown on limestone-rich soils in the area around Butera near Caltanissetta. The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by a short cold maceration and subsequent fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the primary fruit. The limestone and white marl soils give the wine a lively freshness and a noticeable character of origin, combining a sunny climate and careful processing.

In the glass, this red wine displays a deep ruby red color with violet reflections—a visual indication of its concentration and youthfulness. The nose surprises with aromas of dark cherries, blackberries, and violets, complemented by nuances of Mediterranean herbs and light hints of licorice, poetically reflecting the Sicilian terroir. On the palate, a pleasant juiciness combines with fine, well-integrated tannins and a mineral base that reveals distinct notes of origin in the finish.
