Etna Rosso Alta Mora is a complex red wine characterized by its terroir, which is cultivated on just twelve hectares in the special vineyards of Verzella, Pietramarina, Feudo di Mezzo and Solicchiata near Castiglione di Sicilia. In the glass, it glows an intense crimson red, reflecting the concentration and depth of its aromas. Finely interwoven notes of raspberry unfold on the nose, accompanied by spicy nuances that lend the bouquet an elegant complexity. On the palate, it shows a perfect balance between fresh berry fruit and a subtle mineral note on the finish, which rounds off its medium-bodied structure perfectly. Gerardo's Notes: Die insgesamt zwölf Hektar Weinberge sind auf die vier 'Contrade' (= Einzellagen) Verzella, Pietramarina, Feudo di Mezzo und Solicchiata bei Castiglione di Sicilia verteilt. Sie befinden sich zwischen 600 und 800 Metern über Meereshöhe. Teilweise sind die Weinberge mit Einzelstockerziehung bepflanzt, zum anderen Teil mit Drahtrahmen. Nach Handlese werden die Trauben gemahlen und auf den Schalen etwa zwölf Tage bei maximal 28 Grad Celsius vergoren, um die feine Frucht zu erhalten. Der weitere Ausbau erfolgt in Holzfässern von 2.500 Litern für etwa acht bis zehn Monate.
