  The Lumera Sicilia rosé wine from Donnafugata is a lively and poetically inspired homage to southern Sicily: it is produced on the rolling hills of Contessa Entellina and the surrounding vineyards, using a careful selection of red grapes, including Nero d'Avola, Syrah, and Nocera. The name “Lumera” refers to a literary character, a beloved woman full of joie de vivre, who represents the lightness and elegance of this wine. Vinification begins with cold maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a short period of bottle aging—this preserves the wine's freshness and character.

In the glass, Lumera shines with a brilliant pink color and crystalline clarity—a visual expression of Mediterranean lightness. The nose is carried by aromas of delicate wild strawberries and pomegranate, subtly accompanied by floral notes such as violets, which lend the wine a gentle, lyrical beauty. On the palate, a fresh and fruity texture unfolds, in harmony with a pleasant structure and a fine, slightly salty minerality that lends depth to its Sicilian origins.
