  The “Flaccianello della Pieve” from the Fontodi winery in Tuscany is a truly iconic expression of the Sangiovese grape - vinified as a single variety and influenced by the terroir of the Conca d'Oro near Panzano. The galestro-rich slate and clay soils give the wine a distinctive structure and mineral depth, while biodynamic cultivation and exquisite grape selection ensure the highest quality. Aging in carefully selected barriques adds density and a noble wood spice to the wine without detracting from the fruit.

In the glass, Flaccianello displays a deep ruby red color with violet reflections, already hinting at its youth and concentration. The nose reveals intense aromas of sour cherry, blackberry, and plum, combined with violet, Mediterranean herbs, and hints of leather, tobacco, and dark chocolate—a complex bouquet full of depth.
