Pure variety Syrah from Tuscany of deep red color and slightly spicy flavor. The aging in barriques leads to a high concentration and noticeable tannin, with pleasant acidity. An elegant and long-lasting red wine, ideal with meat dishes and cheese.
The grapes for this wine come from a vineyard from Giovanni's training period, planted back then as a youthful experiment, two wines inspired by Bourgogne are still produced today. For these special wines with the addition 'Via', grape varieties atypical for Tuscany are used. All 'Via' wines are only produced in small limited editions. - Gerardo [TS01/20]
"Dark ruby red with a drop of violet. In the nose of juicy cherries, juicy plums, plus a touch of iron, in the reverberation noble pepper and slightly bacony tones. Spicy on the palate, with grippy tannin and juicy fruit, then becomes a bit rough in the finish." - Falstaff
