Taber · Lagrein Riserva DOC 2021

  The “Taber” Lagrein Riserva from the Bolzano Winery is a masterfully crafted red wine that impressively showcases the characteristic power and elegance of the Lagrein grape variety. The grapes come from vines that are over 80 years old, which thrive in the warm, sandy alluvial soils around Gries near Bolzano. These historic sites offer ideal conditions for the vines, which reach full maturity here. After traditional red wine fermentation, the wine is aged for about a year in French barriques, which gives it additional depth and complexity.

In the glass, the “Taber” presents itself in a deep, almost impenetrable garnet red. The bouquet is intense and complex: aromas of ripe cherries and dark berries combine with floral notes of roses and violets as well as earthy hints of humus. Subtle hints of chocolate and cocoa round off the olfactory experience. On the palate, the wine is powerful and harmonious, with velvety tannins and an elegant structure.
