The Lagrein Riserva Taber presents itself in the glass with an impenetrable garnet-red color that reveals its depth and complexity. The nose reveals seductive aromas of ripe cherry fruit, complemented by fine notes of vanilla and cocoa, which round off the olfactory experience. On the palate, it is characteristic, powerful and harmonious, with a velvety fullness that makes it particularly pleasant. Gerardo's Notes: Lagrein, eine der typischsten Rotweinsorten Südtirols und der Kellerei Bozen, gedeiht in der Talsohle rund um Bozen bei hohen Temperaturunterschieden zwischen Tag und Nacht. Die sehr alten Reben bringen einen Wein von überdurchschnittlicher Qualität hervor, mit konzentrierten, aber samtigen Tanninen, saftiger Frucht und einem robusten Körper. Die mehr als 80 Jahre alte Reben wachsen auf warmen, sandigen Schwemmböden in Gries bei Bozen, 250 Meter ü.d.M. Nach der traditionellen Rotweinvergärung im Holzfass reift der junge Wein für ca. ein Jahr in französischen Barriques. Die Riserva Taber ist kräftig und harmonisch mit einer samtigen Fülle, langanhaltend und elegant. Definitiv einer der Topp-Weine aus Südtirol.
