The color in the glass is ruby to dark garnet red. In the aroma of ripe, dark red fruits and discreet roasted aroma. Concentrated and velvety on the palate, long-lasting finish. - Gerardo [TS12/17]
"Sparkling, rich ruby. Finely marked nose with intense and clear fruit, of blackberry and raspberry, underpinned by chocolate and tobacco. Shows plenty of dense, rich tannin on the palate, coated with sweet melting, unfolds densely and with reverberation, supple and long." - Falstaff
Gerardo's Notes: The Merlot Riserva finds the ideal conditions in the sun-drenched area around Bolzano. Fertile, warm soils in the alluvial plain of the Adige River produce a fruity, concentrated wine that has good aging potential. The vines grow on selected, gentle slopes around Bolzano with dry and heat-retaining soil of quartz porphyry. A dense and complex wine with fine tannins and beautiful length.
