Exclusively from selected, hand-picked Pinot Noir grapes, the Pinot Noir Riserva 'Trattmann' is pressed: Ruby red color with light garnet nuances as well as intense aroma of fruit, sweet and sour cherry. Soft and delicate taste with fruity tannins, good acid structure and long finish. Ideal with roasts, game and spicy cheeses. - Gerardo [TS06/21]
"Dark luminous ruby red. Shows deep on the nose, with dark spice, noble wood, rich wild berries and licorice, a touch of graphite in the aftertaste. On the palate with juicy course, clear fruit core, nice tension and spicy undertone, shows with grippy tannin, good length." - Falstaff
Gerardo's Notes: Half of the Pinot Nero grapes come from Mazon, which is considered one of the best Pinot Noir sites in Italy: on the volcanic porphyry rock with more sun, Pinot Nero thrives quite excellently. The Trattmann was first produced in the 1980 vintage.
