Epokale was the first Italian white wine to be awarded 100 points by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. This wine contradicts the classic notion of a South Tyrolean Gewürztraminer, redefines boundaries and impressively shows what this great variety is capable of. To mature with dignity, the 2,400 bottles of Epokale disappear into an old mine for six years. When the 'Traminer from the mine' comes to light again, it is always a celebration for wine enthusiasts and critics alike.
Bright intense golden yellow color in the glass. Intense and impressive nose of rose petals, lavender, honeydew melon, mango and passion fruit. Strong presence on the palate, elegant and graceful, with enormous depth. Of pronounced aromatics, full-bodied and extract-rich but with fine spicy juiciness and salty minerality. It opens to a luminous off-gold color and offers extraordinary aromas of drunken pear, babà Napoletano, confectionary sugar, tarte aux pommes and an exotic hint of baklava.
