Sauvignon Friuli Colli Orientali DOP 2024

  La Tunella's Sauvignon Blanc represents the fine art of Friulian winemaking and reflects the unique geology of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. The vines thrive on the characteristic “ponca” soils—a mixture of sandstone and marl from the Eocene epoch—which are known for their mineral structure and lend the wines remarkable freshness and elegance. The Zorzettig family, who have run the winery since the 1960s, are committed to tradition and innovation, which is impressively manifested in this Sauvignon Blanc.

The wine presents itself in a lively, brilliant straw yellow color with green reflections. The bouquet is intense and persistent, with typical herbal aromas of sage and tomato leaf, combined with fruity, delicate notes of honeydew melon and yellow pepper. On the palate, the Sauvignon Blanc is perfectly balanced between freshness and spicy richness, with an intense bouquet and an aromatic, persistent finish.
