Sirmian · Weißburgunder DOC 2022

  The Sirmian Pinot Bianco from the Nals-Margreid Winery owes its name to the traditional “Sirmian” vineyard above Nals in South Tyrol. There, the white Burgundy vines grow on high slopes (approx. 500-700 m above sea level), facing southeast and on soils of calcareous slate, gneiss, and porphyry—optimal conditions for an expressive white wine quality. After careful hand harvesting, gentle fermentation takes place, followed by several months of maturation on fine lees, partly in wooden barrels and partly in stainless steel tanks, giving the wine both freshness and depth.

In the glass, the wine presents itself with a brilliant straw-yellow color and delicate green reflections. The nose is dominated by elegant aromas of white apple, citrus fruits, ripe pineapple, and a hint of fine herbs. On the palate, there is an excellent balance between lively acidity, rich fruit, and clear minerality, supported by a salty spiciness and a long, elegant finish.
