Sun · Goldmuskateller DOC 2024

  The “Sun” Goldmuskateller from Nals-Margreid is a lively white wine that captures the sunny side of South Tyrol in a glass. Made from 100% Gold Muscat (Moscato Giallo) and dry-aged, the vines thrive on calcareous gravel soils with high humus content in the municipality of Magrè, south of Bolzano. The grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed, and aged on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks for about five months, which gives the wine structure and freshness.

In the glass, the “Sun” presents itself in a bright, light straw yellow with greenish reflections. The bouquet is intense and aromatic, with notes of ripe honeydew melon, yellow peach, citrus fruits, and a hint of nutmeg. On the palate, the wine displays a juicy fruitiness, accompanied by a lively acidity and a subtle spiciness that give it an elegant structure. The finish is long and aromatic, making this Goldmuskateller an ideal accompaniment to light dishes such as asparagus risotto or artichokes. - Gerardo [TS10/25]
