Schreckbichl, South Tyrol
The grapes of this single-varietal Pinot Noir, also known as Pinot Nero or Pinot Noir, come from old vineyards in the Eppan - Girlan growing area. A 20-day maceration in stainless steel tanks is followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for several months in large oak barrels. It presents itself with a splendid ruby red color, an animating nose typical of the variety with fine berry aromas and an elegant taste with a long finish. - Gerardo [TS06/22]
Gerardo's Notes: 'The classic line as an upscale standard segment, offers single varietal white and red wines with lots of fruit and typicity. Medium deep ruby color. Aroma of red berries and sour cherry. On the palate, round, juicy flavor with fine soft tannins. A wine that does not build on power and density, but captivates with finesse and elegance.
