Cabernet-Sauvignon | Grape variety
Cabernet Sauvignon, the most famous red wine grape in the world, has its home in France. From there, this grape variety began its triumphal march around the globe and is also popular in Italy as a varietal wine as well as an ingredient for Cuvees. Cabernet Sauvignon wines have a rich structure, an imposing aroma and a very good shelf life.
Wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon are full of character and have the typical taste of blackcurrants (cassis) and the aroma of green peppers. One of the distinctive features of this grape variety is its unmistakable bouquet and taste - which remain intact even under the most diverse climatic and soil conditions. As a food companion, Cabernet Sauvignon is excellent with roasted beef or lamb. - Gerardo [TS06/23]
