Liebrain · Eisacktaler Silvaner DOC 2015

  The Silvaner from the Bolzano Winery is a clear expression of South Tyrol's alpine freshness. On the terraced slopes around the “Liebrain” farm in the Eisack Valley, at an altitude of around 600 meters, the grape variety thrives on weathered porphyry soils, which give the wine a fine minerality. The high temperature differences between day and night promote aroma concentration and give the wine its crystalline clarity. In vinification, the winery relies on gentle pressing and controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the wine's freshness and fruitiness.

In the glass, the Silvaner presents itself in a light straw yellow with greenish reflections. The bouquet seduces with aromas of ripe melon, peach, and green apple, accompanied by floral notes and a hint of fresh hay. On the palate, it unfolds a dry, fruity taste with pleasant aromatics and a fine acidity structure. This Silvaner goes well with light starters, asparagus dishes, wine soups, and fish, but is also ideal as a refreshing aperitif. - Gerardo [TS10/16]
