The Chardonnay Riserva Troy comes from vineyards located at over 500 meters. Such a Chardonnay from high altitude is a rarity, but therein lies the charm: of pale straw yellow color in the glass, in the bouquet of fresh apples, supported by subtle citrus and mint notes. Fresh and cool on the palate, with spicy notes and hints of almond and hazelnut. The name Troy stands for 'path' in dialect and illustrates the long path of research and experimentation of the Tramin Winery with the Chardonnay grape variety. - Gerardo [TS12/21]
"Dense, slightly buttery and floral nose, delicate vegetal notes, restrained citrus and pomaceous fruit, some bacon, dried mushrooms, nutty traces and a hint of smoke. Ripe, firm, bright fruit, smoky, nutty and quite clearly chalky notes, fine acidity and crumbly tannin, light, very slightly drying wood tones, butter on the palate, vegetal notes and some salt, still undeveloped, good persistence and a certain depth, has power and substance, warm and cool elements, very good, firm finish." - Wein-Plus.eu
