Labella · Vino Bianco Frizzante IGT 2024

  The Labella Bianco Frizzante is produced in the hilly vineyards around Strongoli and is made exclusively from the autochthonous Greco Bianco grape variety. The vines thrive on clay and limestone soils, which give the wine its characteristic freshness and pronounced minerality. Grown using the “cordone speronato” system and with a high planting density of 5,000 vines per hectare, the aim is to achieve a moderate yield of around 80 quintals per hectare - ideal conditions for precise, expressive wines. Harvesting takes place in the first decade of September to preserve the freshness and vitality of the grapes.

After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The second fermentation to produce the fine perlage is carried out in a pressure tank (autoclave) - a process that preserves the freshness and purity of the fruit aromas. The wine then rests for a while in steel tanks and is then further refined in the bottle before being sold. The result is a wonderfully clear, lively and fresh frizzante with a fine perlage, animating lightness and typical southern Italian flair - perfect as an aperitif or with light Mediterranean dishes. - Gerardo [TS10/25]
