The Lagrein Klosteranger is a masterpiece from Muri-Gries and represents the heart of the winery. This historic single-vineyard wine thrives on the best soils within the venerable monastery walls and benefits from an exceptional terroir, which is responsible for the special expressiveness of this wine. The Lagrein Riserva reflects the authentic interpretation of the grape variety and presents itself with a concentrated and clear personality that expresses the great skill of the winemakers.
Its deep garnet red color already hints at the intensity of the wine. The bouquet reveals fresh, complex aromas of black berries, accompanied by subtle notes of coffee and a hint of raspberries. This aromatic structure gives the wine wonderful depth and complexity. On the palate, the Lagrein has distinctive, grippy tannins, a lively, fresh acidity and a delicate fullness. These elements harmonize perfectly and give it an elegant structure that ends in a long-lasting, profound finish.
