The Rosso Veronese “Gemei” combines the best of Italian tradition and international flair: Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon give it a cosmopolitan note, while the classic grape varieties Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella emphasize its unmistakable Venetian origins. The bouquet reveals a subtle and complex fruitiness with hints of red and black berries, which underline the elegant character of the wine. A harmonious fruitiness unfolds on the palate, which finishes gently and gives the wine a soft and accessible texture. Gerardo's Notes: Besonders interessant am Gemei ist der Einsatz von Lokalrebsorten wie Corvina, Molinara und Rondinella. Dazu kommt, dass dieser Veroneser Rotwein zum Teil in großen Eichenholzfässern sowie gebrauchten Barriquefässern ausgebaut wurde, was diesem eine dezente Holzprägung verleiht. Gemei ist stets von guter Dichte und anhaltendem Nachhall, der Wein passt zu delikaten Vorspeisen oder würzigen Fleischgerichten.
