The nose reveals a complex bouquet of juicy dark red fruits such as cherries and plums, accompanied by spicy and balsamic nuances - tobacco, leather, and a hint of undergrowth lend the wine depth and character. Over time, delicate floral accents, violets, and subtle toasted notes emerge, characterized by its aging in French oak barrels for 14 months.

On the palate, Il Falcone impresses with its powerful structure and fine-grained tannins, which create a lively tension while remaining gently embedded. The fruit remains present and juicy, supported by an elegant acidity that lends the wine freshness. The finish is long, mineral, and with salty notes—a sign of the calcareous soil of the Murgia hills. The historical dimension of this wine is particularly noteworthy: the name “Il Falcone” honors Emperor Frederick II of Swabia, whose passion for falconry is legendary, and who had the famous Castel del Monte castle built nearby.
