The Rosato shines a vibrant coral red in the glass and exudes an intense bouquet of raspberries, wild berries and rose petals. Dry yet soft on the palate, with a harmonious freshness and fine minerality. Gerardo's Notes: Salice Salentino is one of Italy's great classics and has had DOC/DOP status since 1976. The red wines that go with it come from the provinces of Lecce and Brindisi, and the regulations stipulate a proportion of 75% Negroamaro grapes, with a maximum addition of 25% of other red grape varieties (mostly Malvasia Nera). A rose version is also popular with only a short maceration on the skins.
