Tenuta Sant Antonio's top amarone is among the best of the best from Valpolicella: balsamic, almost iodine notes on the nose, flanked by typical fruit aromas of ripe cherries, plums and wild berries. Underlined by spicy aromas of star anise, cinnamon, vanilla and black pepper. Still dry on the palate, yet warm and soft, supported by measured acidity and rounded tannins. - Gerardo [TS08/11]
