Visellio is a single varietal Primitivo from the Brindisi area: intense ruby red color in the glass. Aroma of ripe red fruits, plums, currants, some nutmeg and cloves. Full-bodied and velvety on the palate, with a balanced structure. - Gerardo [TS12/17]
"Intense, bright ruby red with a shiny core. Compact nose of ripe raspberries and strawberries, light spicy nuances. In the mouth then gripping and full-bodied, has a tight body with lively acidity, very long, compact tannic structure with firm pressure, in the finish a lot of sweet fruit melt." - Falstaff
Gerardo's Notes: Visellio is an intense and powerful single varietal Primitivo with a strong extractive power. This award-winning cru, aged in barrique, offers a rich bouquet with Mediterranean nuances on the nose, soft and persistent on the palate: a sip of Salento, bottled and given away to all who are passionate about this enchanting place. The name is a tribute to the history of this land and its centuries-old traditions. It is a tribute to the first owner of the ancient Roman foundation, where today the Tenute Rubino vineyards are located, who built here the kilns for the amphorae in which the Apulian wine was stored and exported across the Mediterranean. In recent years, Visellio has received numerous awards and much recognition from wine critics in Italy and abroad.
