Chianti Superiore DOCG 2022

  The Chianti Superiore DOCG from Fattoria Uccelliera di Ezio Bulleri is an authentic expression of Tuscan winemaking and a testament to many years of consistency. The winery is located in Crespina Lorenzana, in the heart of the rolling hills of Pisa, and is now run by the third generation of the Poggianti family. The vineyards extend over calcareous clay soils in a south and southeast exposure at about 150 meters above sea level, an ideal terroir for the Sangiovese grape variety. The Chianti Superiore is vinified from 85% Sangiovese and 15% Canaiolo, with the grapes fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve their freshness and natural fruitiness. For over three decades, the Poggianti family's wines have been an integral part of the range - a sign of quality, consistency, and mutual trust.

In the glass, Chianti Superiore presents itself in a clear ruby red with a slight violet shimmer. The bouquet reveals aromas of ripe cherries, juicy plums, and delicate violets, reflecting the Tuscan landscape. On the palate, the wine is dry, balanced, and pleasantly accessible, with fine-grained tannins and a subtle acidity that creates a harmonious mouthfeel.
