The Chianti of Fattoria Uccelliera is an eternal classic and has always delighted with rustic elegance: bright ruby color in the glass, the aroma of ripe cherries, plums and violets. On the palate dry and harmonious taste, with measured tannins and restrained acidity. Uccellliera's Chianti is a straightforward, medium-bodied red wine that perfectly embodies the Tuscan region. - Gerardo [TS12/21]

Gerardo's Notes: The wines of the Poggianti family have been part of our range for more than 30 years. Originally, the partnership was preceded by a sober thought: on the one hand, more and more wineries are enriching their Chianti with Cabernet and Merlot to please foreign customers. On the other hand, prices - especially in the Chianti Classico segment - have risen considerably in recent decades. The long business relationship with Uccelliera has also resulted in a good friendship with the owner family Poggianti. Chef Maria Elena still produces an affordable, honest and down-to-earth Chianti.
