DUE Veneto Rosso IGT 2019

The DUE is a finesse Cuvee from the two grape varieties Merlot and Cabernet: A red wine of rich, garnet color. On the nose, fruity aromas of cherries, small berries, spicy notes and floral nuances. Concentration please! Yield reduction and ripening of the grapes in the vineyard, plus drying for four weeks, then maceration in open tonneau for another month. It is not Amarone, it is also no Cabernet...it is Cabarone! This Cabernet Sauvignon, made according to the Amarone method, revives the ancient tradition of grape drying, still a novelty in South Tyrol. - Gerardo
