Interesting cuveé of Cabernet-Sauvignon and Cabernet-Franc: Deep, concentrated ruby red in the glass. The bouquet is dense and concentrated, reminiscent of ripe red fruits and sour cherry, with light hints of cocoa and minerals. Wonderfully balsamic, full-bodied and silky on the palate. "Bright ruby with a rich violet sheen. Very intense nose with lots of ripe dark berry fruit, at the beginning a lot of tobacco and leather, then full of dark currants and blackberries, carob in the background. Straightforward and clear on the palate, lots of juicy fruit, then opens with firm, sturdy tannin, gives the wine a lot of grip, long finish." - Falstaff

"With ample intensity and definition, this wine shows the power of two Bordeaux grapes, 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc, with the softness and sunny sweetness you might expect of a warm wine territory such as Sicily. The Planeta 2016 Sicilia Menfi Burdese shows a dark garnet appearance and medium rich concentration. Dried spice, scorched earth and black fruit appear on the bouquet. There is a dry, almost dusty quality to the tannins that are present but without any noticeable astringency. Maroccoli is a single varietal Sicilian Syrah of intense ruby color and violet hues. The aroma spectrum is broad and includes cassis, coffee beans, pepper and cloves. In the drink the youthfulness of the tannin and the fruit freshness prevail, it is not the tannin that occupies the palate but the wine in all its fullness. - Gerardo [TS08/20]

Tinorso is an excellent super Tuscan composed of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot: Deep ruby red, aromas of spices, cocoa, tobacco, licorice, vanilla and red fruits. A structured, elegant wine with good body, persistent finish. - Gerardo [TS08/21]

"Deep dark garnet. Very dark berry nose, resinous-spicy, of cranberry jam, lush Amarena cherries, wild berries, distinct woody tone, tar and graphite in the finish. Opens on the palate with notes of ripe berry fruit, compact and with clear spice, grippy and delicately drying, with plenty of pressure, long finish." - Falstaff

Mori Vecio Riserva · Rosso Riserva Trentino DOC 2018

The three-part cuvée of Merlot, Cabernet-Franc and Cabernet-Sauvignon is intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The bouquet is intense and mixes impressions of pepper with vanilla aromas and notes of red fruits. The taste is full-bodied and elegant, underlined by silky tannins. Long lasting also in the finish.

Mori Vecio Riserva is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels of 225 and 500 liters, and in stainless steel tanks until bottling. This is followed by extensive bottle aging. - Gerardo [TS04/19]

Rosso di Montalcino DOC 2022
