This Amarone presents itself with a deep ruby red color and elegant garnet reflections. The nose reveals an ethereal, spicy bouquet with intense notes of ripe fruit, especially sour cherries, complemented by subtle hints of vanilla and spice. The aroma is inviting and complex, borne by the long ripening period and the special grape selection.
On the palate, the wine is intense, soft and at the same time profound. The structure is full and velvety, with a long-lasting finish. The grapes dry for around 110 days, losing around 35-40% of their weight, before being vinified. The wine is then aged for 24 months in new barriques made from fine-pored Fleur de Quintessence oak and a further 12 months in the bottle. The result is an Amarone of exceptional elegance, maturity and depth. - Gerardo [TS07/14]
