Benuara, a blend of Nero d'Avola and Syrah shows a brilliant dark red color. The aroma is intense and complex, reminiscent of ripe wild berries and cherry liqueur. The palate is velvety, full of berry fruit and closes with balsamic hints. - Gerardo [TS12/21]

Gerardo's Notes: 'Monreale, not far from Palermo, is considered one of the best growing areas for the Syrah grape on the island. There it finds in the southeast locations the ideal climate and the necessary light to ripen evenly and to develop the full aroma potential. The Nero d'Avola also finds optimal conditions here in the southern slopes, and so this cuvée of an autochthonous grape variety with an international one was a natural choice. The two components are vinified separately and then blended, after which 80% is aged in stainless steel tanks and 20% in large wooden barrels (2,000 liters).
