Cusumano, Sicily
Noá - one of the most famous Cusumano wines - is a refined blend of Nero d'Avola, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This red wine presents itself with dark red color and black core. The bouquet is intensely Mediterranean, reminiscent of cassis, morello cherry, tobacco and spices. The palate shows juicy, concentrated fruit, is spicy, powerful and complex, as well as having a long finish. - Gerardo [TS12/17]

Gerardo's Notes: 'The Noà is the great international wine, the Super Sicilian, the Cusumanos. It was named after Noah, builder of the ark and probably the first wine producer in the world. The grapes come from the Tenuta Presti e Pegni near Monreale, not far from Palermo and just ten kilometers from the sea. A zone with a lot of light, which is particularly appreciated by the 'cosmopolitans' Cabernet and Merlot. A congenial fusion of the autochthonous variety Nero d'Avola with its fiery nature, the velvety of Merlot and the structure of Cabernet. The Noà is aged for twelve months in oak barrels. It has the additional designation 'Vigneto sotto le Case' because the historic vineyards for the Noa are located below the Tenuta buildings.
