Arbóre · Cannonau di Sardegna Classico DOC 2009

  Arbòre is made from extremely selected Cannonau grapes, whose vines have a minimum age of 40 years in the vineyard of the same name. A small percentage of the ancient Sardinian variety Muristellu gives the wine an aromatic profile and highlights the typical Cannonau characteristics of blackberry and dog rose. A small number of buds per vine allows a low but high quality grape yield. In August, the so-called green pruning ensures an optimal concentration of aromatic substances and polyhenols, which are important for high quality. After fermentation on the skins for 20 to 25 days, the wine is aged for 12 months in French barriques and then for at least 12 months in the bottle at the winemaker's to express its bouquet and terroir in the best possible way. - Gerardo [TS10/10]
