  La Segreta Rosso is an eternal classic from Planeta - and with good reason. Made from 50% Nero d'Avola, 25% Merlot, 20% Syrah and a small but fine proportion of Cabernet Franc, this red wine combines everything you would expect from a modern Sicilian: Fruit, freshness, an accessible structure and a hint of southern warmth. In the glass, it is deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose is a lively interplay of red berries, raspberries, dark plums, delicate roasted notes and a hint of cocoa and balsamic.

On the palate, La Segreta Rosso surprises with its relative lightness - especially for a red wine from the hot island of Sicily - and yet is structured and expressive. Soft tannins, juicy acidity and a beautiful fruit balance make it the ideal everyday wine, which is perfect both on its own and with Mediterranean cuisine. Whether pasta, grilled vegetables or hearty meat dishes - this red feels at home anywhere without pushing itself to the fore.
