Like many of our reductively vinified wines, Appassionato is wonderfully evolved after years of bottle aging. Increasingly soft and elegant, yet always racy and full, make this single-varietal Sangiovese from the Marche region a leader in its class: intense ruby red tending to garnet, with orange hues and tending to brick red with aging; distinguished, slightly ethereal bouquet; eldritch tannic, pithy, dry. - Gerardo
