The youngest and most modern offspring from the house Ca' del Baio is the Barbaresco 'Marcarini', whose grapes come from ten-year-old vines: Beguiling aromas of gingerbread, cherries, rose petals and orange peel. Very expressive for a young Barbaresco, generously textured and silky on the palate. Hints of oak and lush notes of licorice close with fine tannins. - Gerardo [TS10/08]
