The powerful Barrile comes from the lower Tirso Valley and is almost entirely made from the native grape variety Nieddera: the color in the glass is an intense ruby red with garnet inclusions. The aroma is complex and intense, with delicate spicy and fruity notes. The palate is dense and mild, always balsamic and accompanied by pleasant wood spice. - Gerardo [TS12/16]

Gerardo's Notes: 'Contini was long known more for the specialty 'Vernaccia di Oristano' than for top wines. This has already changed years ago with the Barille. The top representative from the house Contini is based on the native grape varieties Nieddera and Caddiu. The result is a top wine of format with terroir reference and a certain international cut. It should be noted that Contini is not afraid to use indigenous grape varieties for Barille, in order to give them more respect in the wine world.
