Taranta · Salento Rosato IGT 2024 (Bio)

  Vetrère's Taranta Salento Rosato IGP is a lively rosé, typically made from a blend of Negroamaro (approx. 60%) and Malvasia Nera (approx. 40%). The grapes thrive on trellises in gently rolling countryside dotted with olive trees in the province of Taranto/Salento, often at low altitudes (approx. 20 m above sea level) and in sun-drenched locations. Harvesting is done mechanically, pressing is gentle, and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (14-16 °C). About two months “sur lies” (on the lees) give the wine additional freshness and structure.

In the glass, Taranta Rosato shines with a brilliant cherry or coral pink color and sparkling reflections. The nose is dominated by aromas of ripe red berries, sour cherries, and delicate floral nuances, accompanied by fresh orange zest. On the palate, it is fresh, lively, and balanced with a pleasant lightness, good structure, and harmonious acidity.
