DUE · Veneto Rosso IGT 2021

The DUE is a finesse Cuvee from the two grape varieties Merlot and Cabernet: A red wine of rich, garnet color. On the nose, fruity aromas of cherries, small berries, spicy notes and floral nuances. Full and velvety on the palate, with soft and balanced tannins.

In this wine is used the process of secondary fermentation which is indicated in the name DUE, this increases the quality of the wine and gives an excellent result that reminds of a Ripasso. - Gerardo [TS01/22]

The high altitudes cultivated by Le Ragose are geographically above the vineyards in the Negrar Valley. This, together with the microclimate that prevails here, favors the ripening of the grapes and lends itself to artisanal quality products of a special kind. The Valpolicella 'Le Sassine' is the most famous wine of Le Ragose and impresses with its bright garnet red color in the glass. The Valpolicella Ripasso 'Ripa della Volta' (Valley of the Gods), comes from the second vineyard of the Montresor family (Ottella). After a long search, new vineyards were acquired and developed in the neighboring Valpolicella.

The high quality, calcareous soils are similar to those of Burgundy: this unique location, with its microclimate and marl soils - from which the Dolomites were also formed - create the conditions for an honest, sustainable and personal product.

This Valpolicella, produced according to the Ripasso method, has a concentrated ruby red color. The complex bouquet is reminiscent of dark fruit, coffee and licorice. Exceedingly soft and harmonious on the palate, with a persistent finish. Limited small edition. - Gerardo [TS02/21]
