  Attilio Contini's “Mamaioa Isola dei Nuraghi Rosso” is a lively representation of the indigenous Sardinian grape variety combination of Nieddera, Cannonau, and Merlot—a blend that characteristically combines origin and craftsmanship. The name “Mamaioa,” inspired by the Sardinian word for ladybug, symbolizes biodiversity and natural winemaking: unfiltered, with minimal intervention and often without the addition of sulfites. The grapes grow on sandy, limestone-rich soils on the Sinis peninsula near Oristano, where Mediterranean breezes and a calm atmosphere between land and sea prevail.

In the glass, Mamaioa presents itself in an intense ruby red with fine violet reflections—a visual promise of richness and expression. The nose reveals a bouquet of red wild berries, sour cherry, and rosehip, complemented by subtle Mediterranean herbal spices and a salty undertone reminiscent of Sardinia's salty sea air. On the palate, the wine impresses with juicy fruit, finely structured tannins, and a lively texture; a subtle minerality rounds off the experience and gives it depth and character.
