The Primitivo di Manduria Palombara is the result of an extremely selective grape harvest, with every grape picked by hand - a masterpiece of the Apulian wine tradition. This powerful yet soft red wine is characterized by an impressive complexity, with powerful yet supple tannins that provide exquisite roundness and softness. Its intense, bright ruby red color reflects the wine's richness and elegance.

A seductive bouquet of ripe red fruits such as plums, cherries, blackberries, currants and blueberries unfolds on the nose, complemented by the unmistakable aroma of sun-dried berries that is typical of the Primitivo grape. It is opulent and round on the palate, with a harmonious balance that reflects the full character of this special grape variety.

The Primitivo Palombara is a star of the Apulian winemaking tradition and transports the soul of this region into every bottle. The artist's label, designed by Dino Sambiasi, a renowned Italian artist, gives this wine an additional artistic touch. Sambiasi, whose works are exhibited internationally, expresses the connection between art and wine in a special way. - Gerardo [TS10/20]

"Intense ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose fresh berry aromas, hints of cocoa, licorice and some spicy notes. Fresh and juicy on the palate, soft tannins and refreshing acidity, with a long, salty finish." - Falstaff

Palombara Primitivo di Manduria comes from the heart of Apulia, a region that has been famous for centuries for its powerful, sun-kissed red wine. Around the town of Manduria, the vineyards stretch across gently rolling hills characterized by red, iron-rich clay and limestone—a terroir that encourages the vines to grow deep roots and gives them exceptional expressiveness. The Mediterranean climate, with hot days, mild nights, and steady winds from the Ionian Sea, provides ideal conditions for promoting the characteristic ripeness and concentration of the Primitivo grape. The vines, many of which are older and often cultivated using the traditional Alberello training system, produce low but highly concentrated yields, which form the basis for the intense character of this wine.

Palombara Primitivo impressively demonstrates why Manduria is considered the stronghold of this grape variety. In the glass, it reveals a deep ruby red color and unfolds a complex interplay of aromas of ripe plums, black cherries, and sweet spices, accompanied by hints of cocoa and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied and harmonious, with soft tannins and a velvety structure that elegantly supports the fruitiness. Despite its density, the wine retains a fine freshness that makes it lively and balanced. Palombara Primitivo is therefore not only an expression of Manduria's unique terroir, but also a successful example of the modern, quality-conscious interpretation of a great Apulian tradition. - Gerardo [TS10/20]
