Going with the flow has never been the intention of the Campedelli family, which is behind the Marion winery. This is evident not only in the unusual for the Veneto grape varieties such as Teroldego, but also in the fantasy cuvee 'Calto'. This prestigious wine is nothing other than a very personal interpretation of Amarone, which, however, cannot be marketed as such due to legal regulations. The proportion of Teroldego provides additional fire, accordingly, this wine is intense:

The Merlot vines were planted in 1978 in the Orgno vineyard and used in the wine of the same name more than ten years later. This minimum age of the vines guarantees high quality product: intense ruby color in the glass, on the nose notes of ripe red fruit, leather, truffle and licorice. On the palate of rich and balanced structure, enveloping and powerful.

This wine from the Prestige line of the Fasoli brothers is the result of decades of research into the Valpolicella terroir. The selection of suitable vineyards and their exposure, the understanding of the microclimate and the extremely limited grape material allow for a truly great wine. Sande · Pinot-Nero IGT 2013
