The namesake giants are a reference to the giants of Mont'e Prama, formerly freestanding sandstone cult statues of the Sardinian nuragic culture. In 1974, the farmer Sisinnio Poddi plowed out the head of one of these statues on the Sinis Peninsula. The forty years of excavation campaigns brought to light other statues, nuraghe models and wall remains. The age of the giants of Mont'e Prama indicates that the oldest free-standing large sculpture in Europe was created in Sardinia, even before a similar development began in Greece.

I Giganti Isola dei Nuraghi Rosso IGT 2019

The color in the glass is a dark ruby red with garnet highlights. The nose is intense, with hints of red fruits and spices, underpinned by balsamic notes. The palate is soft and warm, balanced by finely honed tannins and freshness. - Gerardo

The namesake giants are a reference to the giants of Mont'e Prama, formerly freestanding sandstone cult statues of the Sardinian nuragic culture. In 1974, the farmer Sisinnio Poddi plowed out the head of one of these statues on the Sinis Peninsula. The forty years of excavation campaigns brought to light other statues, nuraghe models and wall remains. The age of the giants of Mont'e Prama indicates that the oldest free-standing large sculpture in Europe was created in Sardinia, even before a similar development began in Greece.

Abtei Lagrein Riserva DOC 2017

The color shows an intense dark garnet red. On the nose complex and multilayered of cherries and barberries, mixed with spicy notes of tobacco and leather.
